Track our travellers, you may just be surprised how familiar some of their thoughts sound… If you can't decide what to pack, are worried about saying goodbye to your family and friends, or aren't too sure whether now is the right time in life to travel, then you are not alone. Many of our travellers have the very same worries and concerns.
We thought it might just help if you could follow other grown up gappers from the very beginning of their journeys. We will show you why they have taken the decision to travel, and how they are feeling before, during and after their trips.
Marcia Watson In September, Marcia is jetting off to Africa to join our Lake Malawi teaching and medical projects. She then heads to Nepal early next year to work as a volunteer working with local communities. We caught up with her to see how she was feeling pre-departure! |

Sally Howse, age 44
| After being made redundant, Sally took the decision that now was the time to see the world. In November 2007 she returned from a three-month trip to South Africa where she took part in the Gap Year For Grown Ups Conservation Course. Within 48 hours of arriving back in the UK she called Gap Year For Grown Ups and booked the Malaysia Orangutan Experience programme and the Thai Adventure! |

Patricia runs a family business and has decided that she needs some time out of the stresses and strains of everyday life. In January 2008 she will be travelling to Rajasthan, India to volunteer for 8 weeks. |

Pat and Geoff recently booked the Gap Year For Grown Ups Thai Adventure programme, choosing to take part in the Wild option working with elephants for their final two weeks. They describe their thoughts and feelings before they jet off on their adventure. |

Sarah Collins Her first stop is Patagonia where she is taking part in a 15-day tour. She is then taking Spanish classes at our language school in Ecuador before heading over the Galapagos Islands to volunteer with giant tortoises. Sarah then plans to travel for a further five months in Latin America! |
